Plattsburgh Restaurants: Dining Out in Plattsburgh

Eating out has become an important part of American culture.  Dining out in Plattsburgh is no different.  There are many reasons why people may choose to eat out. Some days, I just don't want to cook and/or have to worry about cleaning up afterwards. No one in my family usually complains when I say, "C'mon, we're going out to eat tonight!" 

On these occasions, the destination is usually someplace where we can get in and out in 45 minutes or less, not have to worry about being under-dressed and, most importantly, not have to worry about throwing our budget out of whack. Plattsburgh has a good selection of restaurants in this category. 

There are other times when I really want to enjoy a nice 2-hour, four course meal in a setting that justifies a $50 a plate price tag. On these occasions, it's a good idea to call ahead and make a reservation. There have been several occasions when I have tried to get a table at one of the "top notch" restaurants around 7:00 pm on a Friday or Saturday night, only to be told my wait would be 45 minutes to an hour.  Understandable as demand during these prime times surpasses supply. Plan ahead if possible.
